This is historic region Andong, where old traditional culture is continuously being retained until today.
I have been initiated the family tradition as well as the taste ‘Sonmat’ from my mother-in-law, the Jongbu of Gyegongranggongpa in the family of Andong Kim who is well known for good Sonmat
As we insist on using the method and ingredients of making the traditional paste and some of the traditional food as the way it was in old Jonggajib, the food has the original taste made with sincerity
By keeping its first meaning and using the traditional method as it is, we will sincerely make the proper traditional paste
- What is a Food Expert System?
It is a system of selecting an outstanding food technician which is classified into food manufacturing, processing, and cooking aimed for succession and development of Korean food in accordance with section 14(1) of Food Industry Promotion Act, and then going through a deliberation held by Food Industry Promotion Board followed by section 5 of the same Act, thus the expert Choi Myeonghui was selected as the Number 51 (Sodujang) in 2013.
Food Expert Designation Qualifications
· Person who was engaged in the field of manufacturing, processing, and cooking a relevant food.
· Person who is preserving a method of manufacturing, processing, and cooking traditional food to its original form, and is able to make it.
· Person who has been instructed the recipe from the food expert at least for 5 years (2 years if food expert is dead) and engaged in the field for at least 10 years.
